Long overdue post!
December 15, 2009 on 11:56 am | In Photos, Medical, Joey, Leah, Craziness of our lives, Aiden | 2 CommentsI want to applogize to all of my readers, I’m way overdue for an update. My mother keeps reminding me to post something on here but I’ve been so busy! Let’s see, since I last posted a lot has happened.
Right before Thanksgiving, Joey came down with H1N1 and spent 3 1/2 days in the hospital. Very, very scary. It’s weird, you hear on TV about children ending up in the hospital thanks to that yucky illness but I never thought one of my kids would end up with it!
The ironic thing is that THE DAY that Joey came down with it and ended up in the hospital is the day he and his sister were suppose to get the vaccines!!!
Leah also came down with it the next day but was able to fight it off mostly on her own with only a few doses of TamiFlu.
A few weeks later, Joey came down with the croup and that resulted in another trip to the ER but thankfully we were sent home a few hours later after a breathing treatment and a shot of steriods.
We’ve also had several colds in the middle of all of this (all of which Joey has caught) so we’ve been a healthy bunch, let me tell ya, hahahaha!
Leah and Aiden are doing good. We can’t get over how big Aiden is getting. Last week out of nowhere he no longer fit into his 0-3 month clothes so we had to make a trip to Kohls to get him some new clothes!
And poor Leah has been averaging 3 ear infections a month for the past few months so she has an appointment to see an ENT for tubes.
Again, I’m so sorry for the lack for posts lately, but between Joey’s illnesses, being a mom to three, and being addicted to Facebook, I put my beloved blog on hold and kept putting off posting on here!
We’re leaving tomorrow for Ohio for Christmas, so I will be back after Christmas!!! I will leave you today with a couple new pictures of the kids and one of our first snow fall from the other day

I’ve been a busy Momma!
September 15, 2009 on 1:38 pm | In Photos, Family, Joey, Leah, Aiden | 2 CommentsMy poor blog, how you’ve been neglected the past 2 weeks but hey, at least I have a good excuse!
Thankfully, we’re all adjusting to being a family of 5 now. Geez, A FAMILY OF FIVE! I have THREE children! I never thought I would be a mother to 3 children in less than a 4 year time span!
Aiden is thankfully putting on weight as fast as I can feed him! In the past week, he’s gained 7 oz and is now 5 lbs, 11 oz! And I thought I wasn’t producing enough milk, LOL!!
Joey and Leah both appear to love Aiden! Joey in particular has been showing interest in him more and more each day!!
It also just dawned on me that I never posted pictures from the hospital so here ya go! I will work on Aiden’s birth story when I get a chance
After my c-section, “I made it!” and so grateful to get a cup of ice chips (I was starving!)

Joey meet Aiden, Aiden meet Joey!

My BFF Melissa even came to meet Aiden!

Here’s Aiden!!
September 2, 2009 on 9:02 am | In Aiden | 10 CommentsGood morning everyone! A quick thank you to my sister in law for letting you all know that I was in labor!
Aiden Phillip Eli Heeran arrived at 11:09pm on August 31 weighing in at 5lbs, 7 oz and 18 1/2 inches long! And the really cool fact is that August 31 is also the Feast of Saint Aiden! How cool is that?!
Aiden is coming!
August 31, 2009 on 9:10 pm | In Aiden, Pregnancy- Aiden | 2 CommentsThis is Jessica’s sister-in-law Stephanie. I just wanted to let you know that I just heard from Jessica and she is at the hospital. She is contracting every 2-3 minutes but is only a centimeter dilated. They are going to be doing a c-section at 10:00 pm Eastern. So Aiden will be here very soon!!
Quiet week
June 10, 2009 on 3:06 pm | In Joey, Leah, Aiden, Pregnancy- Aiden | 2 CommentsKnock on wood, it’s been a pretty quiet week around here. I managed to have a free calander for the past 3 days in a row! No doctors appointments, nothing until tomorrow! Tomorrow I have to take Joey for a pre-op physical with his pediatrican before he goes to CCMC on Friday for his ear tubes, I need to get my 2nd trimester bloodwork done (I hate fasting!) and the good part of tomorrow is it’s my monthly Parents Night Out dinner with the CDSC!
Next week is crazy but I’ll manage. I’ve been trying to rest as much as possible. I don’t think I ever posted on here about my back. I’m carrying Aiden a lot lower than I carried Joey & Leah, I’m actually almost carrying him too low. It appears as if I have a compressed disk and I’ve been having severe back pain, along with numbness & pain down into my legs & feet. Last week I woke up one morning with my arms and legs numb, which was not cool at all.
So now along with my regular OB appointments, I have to see a neurologist! The doctors can’t give me an actual diagnosis of a compressed disk since they can’t do x-rays or MRI’s on me since I’m pregnant, but because of all the symptoms I’m having, that’s what the neurologist thinks.
Hopefully after I have Aiden, all of this will go away. I’ve had back problems on and off for the past few years after I fell down the stairs while I was pregnant with Joey but nothing as bad as this.
Anyways, enough about me. The kiddos are doing great! Leah finally got her 1st year molars in (almost one year late!), Joey is loving school so much. I don’t know what else to say about them at the moment!
Well, enough blabbing for now!
