I recently recieved some products from Eco Store USA which is which is an extension of a 20 year old New Zealand company www.ecostore.co.nz that makes plant based, non-toxic Household Cleaning, Baby and Personal Care Products that contain No Nasty Chemicals.

I tried two of their baby products, Baby Sleepytime Bath and Baby Body Wash, both of which ROCK! Both are aromatherapy products and smell great! The scents aren’t overwhelming so many other baby bath products are in my opinion. With my allergies, I have to use things that have a mild scent and this one works very well with me! Even giving the kids I bath, I have to watch out for my own allergies!

Nausea, Ohio & Giveaways!

The past couple afternoon/ evenings I’ve been hit with some pretty nasty nausea. I mean, phew, I wish I could vomit nausea. Not fun at all….

Anyways, I’m pretty excited/ nervous at the same time. I haven’t been home since April when my Grandfather passed away, and I’ve been getting extremely homesick (my preggo hormones haven’t been helping any). So a few days ago, I went over my calendar and realized there was only one week that I’m able to get home without canceling doctors appointments, so I’m going home February 13-22!!

The reason I’m so nervous is because I’m flying ALONE with BOTH of the kids. Yup… me, Joey and Leah on a plane together. Still not sure how this is going to work, but I did call the airlines and got someone set up to help me get the kids onto the plane and Joey’s carseat set up.

I’m so excited to go home! I haven’t seen my grandmother, brother & his wife, my cousins, no one but my parents since April! I’m counting down the days till we leave!

As many of you know, October is National Down Syndrome Awareness month and this whole month I will be posting everyday. Last year I tried to post everyday just about Joey and/ or Down syndrome and torwards the end of the month, I started running out of things to write about. This month I will attempt the same.

To start off the month, I thought a giveaway would be fun! How about one of my handmade Down syndrome awareness bracelets?! This one has a awareness ribbon charm, and a miniture picture frame charm, both attached to the clasp.

Why I love the ladies at 5 Minutes For Mom

The fine ladies over at Five Minutes For Mom are at it again! Check this one out!  

Boy, would a new laptop come in handy for our family! As many of you know, I love blogging but always can’t seem to find the time to since I have my desktop computer. Having a laptop would mean that my husband and I wouldn’t have to share a computer in the evenings when he wants to work on work from home, it means I could work on Joey’s eating solid foods at the kitchen table and blog at the same time, it means when Joey’s therapists are here working with him I could sneak into the other room and blog, it means if I was to take Joey to the hospital again like last night (lord I hope not) I would be able to post an update, it means I could do more work for the CDSC away from home!

The main thing is that I could blog more than what I do now!

Heading up a parent’s night out, a playgroup, being on the buddy walk committee, starting up the prenatal diagnosis outreach committee and being on the board of directors for the CDSC takes up a lot of time and I would be able to take my laptop with me to these meetings if need be!

In my opinion, there are other families who could use the laptop worse than ours, but it would truely come in handy!
